Three-year-old Ghanaian art prodigy Ace-Liam Nana Sam Ankrah continues to make history as he participated in the prestigious GUBA Awards in Barbados, marking a series of major milestones in his young artistic journey.
Ace-Liam and his mother, visual artist Chantelle Kuukua Eghan, were among the first Ghanaians to board the historic chartered flight from Accra to Barbados, the world’s first direct charter connection between the two countries. The journey itself became a record moment for the young artist, who was the youngest passenger on the flight manifest.

The trip also marked Ace-Liam’s first international art exhibition and his third exhibition as a mother and son artistic duo. Their participation formed part of the cultural and creative showcase at the GUBA Awards, an event dedicated to celebrating African excellence and strengthening cultural connections between Africa and the Caribbean.
The Barbados exhibition provided an opportunity for Ace-Liam to share his work with a global audience and connect with people from diverse backgrounds. Throughout the event, he engaged confidently with visitors, collectors, and members of the media, speaking about his artwork with excitement and curiosity. His growing confidence and natural ability to communicate his creative process were evident in every interaction.
For Chantelle, exhibiting alongside her son continues to be a meaningful part of their shared journey. This third joint exhibition reflects the unique bond they have built through art and their commitment to nurturing creativity together from an early age.
Beyond the exhibition space, the experience represented a powerful moment of cultural exchange. Their participation in the GUBA Awards journey highlights the growing global reach of African creativity and the role of young talent in building bridges across continents.

As Ace-Liam’s artistic story continues to unfold, each milestone reinforces the remarkable path he is carving at just three years old. From historic flights to international exhibitions, his journey is already connecting cultures, inspiring audiences, and expanding the possibilities for young African artists.
The family expresses deep gratitude for the overwhelming love, support, and opportunities that continue to open doors along the way.
The journey has only just begun.
